2026 Pig on the Pond Art Contest

Contest Overview
Pig on the Pond invites talented student artists from South Lake County’s high schools to share their creativity and community spirit through art. This year, we’re partnering with the South Lake Art League to showcase student artwork that answers one simple question: ‘What does Pig on the Pond mean to you?’


Eligible Schools
South Lake High School
East Ridge High School
Minneola High School
Real Life Upper Grades
Montverde Academy Upper Level


Awards
• Student Winner: $250
• Winning School’s Art Department: $500
• The winning artwork will be available for purchase through the South Lake Art League. Proceeds from the sale will be shared between the Art League and the Project Scholars Scholarship Fund.


Important Dates
Submission Deadline: Friday, March 14, 2026
Artwork Display: Sunday, March 29, 2026 (student must be present)
Winner Announced: During the Pig on the Pond Festival


Artwork Requirements
Theme: ‘What Pig on the Pond Means to Me’
Medium: Open to drawing, painting, or mixed media on canvas or sturdy board
Size Limit: Maximum 24” x 36”
Each piece must be original and created by the student.
Framing or mounting is encouraged for display.
